Sometimes my genius ideas work. Sometimes they don't. A long time ago I decided to try to build folding fans. I never did get it right, and that's OK. The process of making a really good sensu takes multiple artisans with the correct tools and materials. Here's NHK World's Core Kyoto episode on Kyoto's elegant folding fans.
